The booklet is a great way to check children’s understanding of the story. Preschool and kindergarten aged children may need support to complete the pages, but older children and early elementary students will likely be able to finish the pages on their own.
The booklet includes a variety of activities to keep children engaged and excited to work on the activities. The booklet includes writing, drawing, math, a word search and a crossword!
When I used this booklet with my kindergarteners, for many of them it was the first time they had done a crossword and a wordsearch. Luckily the pages are created as simply as possible.

For the crossword, the words children need to fill in each row and column are included in a word bank. There is also a picture to help children figure out, and sound out the word instead of a sentence for children to read and figure out.

Make sure to grab your copy today for children to work through and add extra value to the story. When I used this flipbook with really young children, we worked through the pages together. I read the instruction on each page and children filled it out with some keywords and help from me on the board. It was a great way to do it and they loved having a full book that they completed.
